SHCA’s “Clinical Interventions”™ program provides an immediate, upon admission consult to all new, re-admitted or identified residents. When appropriate, our consultant pharmacists evaluate and recommend medication changes based on the resident’s medical records and history.
The “Clinical Intervention”™ — or interim consult — helps to insure that the reviewed resident has the best medication, dosage schedule and potency to improve health and rehabilitation.
An interim consult is available 24/7. The interim consult will aid in evaluating reviewed residents’ needs and services and the associated cost. We will recommend the most clinically-appropriate category equivalent medication. It is most cost-effective when recommendations for change can be reviewed by the physician before the first meds are ordered.
Our “Clinical Intervention”™ monthly reports will track the program and reflect the costs and savings.
SHCA’s Customer Service personnel will assist your staff with the procedural compliance that guarantees the program’s success.
